Our Role :

Acceliant offers e-Clinical trial data management application to global clinical research organizations, pharmaceutical and medical device enterprises etc.

Acceliant acts as a Data Processor for all it's Clients using Acceliant application for e-clinical trials related Data Management including e-clinical trial Participant’s data. Acceliant, in it’s role as a Data processor

  • Does not determine the purposes of its Clients’ e-clinical trials and how the e-clinical trial participant’s data is utilized in the systems.
  • Does not choose or determine the types of e-clinical trial data that are submitted to Acceliant application, and any access to such e-clinical trial participant’s data by Acceliant is incidental to completing the contractual obligations of Acceliant, as a Data Processor, to its Clients.
  • Will not be responsible for establishing Lawful basis of processing of e-clinical trial participants data
  • Will not be responsible for taking Consent from e-Clinical trial participants

The responsibility of establishing Lawful basis by means of consent, contract or any other lawful means from e-clinical trial participants bestows on Clients using Acceliant application.

Acceliant acts as a Data Controller only when it is collecting Personal or Contact data directly from Prospective Clients, Vendors, Employees , Prospective Employees and is processing for the purposes of Business or Employment.

Acceliant is committed to protecting your Personal Data by:

  • using the Data collected for the intended purposes only;

Acceliant does not take any responsibility for any Data breach experienced if you choose to provide any Personal Data on the externally-hosted website

Data Security

Security of your Personal and sensitive Data is important to us. We are compliant to ISO27001:2013, SOC1 and SOC2 Trust Principles. We leverage on these standards and control frameworks enabled by the technology to provide a secure environment for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) of our internal systems’, clients’ and Website visitors’ Data. As a condition of employment, Acceliant employees are required to follow all applicable laws and Regulations, including in relation to Data protection law. Access to Personal Data is limited to those employees who need to it to perform their roles. Unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential client information by a Acceliant employee is prohibited and may result in disciplinary measures.

EU Data Protection Laws

Where EU Data protection laws apply, the provisions in this section will apply in addition to the general provisions set out above.

Pursuant to EU Data protection laws Acceliant is the controller of your Personal Data collected and processed via the Website.

For how long Acceliant will hold your Personal Data will vary and will be determined by the following criteria:

  • Acceliant is required to retain the Personal Data for as long as is necessary to satisfy or meet the purpose for which it was obtained or any other legal purpose.Retention schedules are based on former mentioned objective and hence disposal of data will follow defined retention schedules.
  • Legal obligations: Laws or Regulations may set a minimum period for which Acceliant must retain your Personal Data.

  • Since there is no automated decision making process, this right to object to automated decision making process is inapplicable
